Yearly: Spring clean
Pull out your fridge/freezer and vacuum and wash the floor, so that you get all the dust away from around the machine, which could cause a fire.
Clean out your fireplace or fire box and have your chimney cleaned
Clean or have serviced your heat pump so that it is working efficiently
Spray your house on the outside for spiders, ants and inside for flies. This can be done anytime of the year, however, Spring time is the best time to do this.
Autumn and the beginning of winter, check that all the gutters are clear of dead leaves etc and downpipes drains are not blocked and are ready for the wet season, when ever that is at your place.
If you live in areas that can get snow, then check that the snow stapes are all tight on the gutters for that snow fall as you don’t want the snow to bring down the gutters too.
