 variety is important but don’t worry if your child likes the same thing each day. My husband made the school lunches a lot and use to put notes in the lunch box.  “made by your loving Dad xx’  “good luck for test today”  “swimming after school” “I will pick you up afterschool today”

Check with the school regarding items not allowed.  I know some now a days don’t allow nuts (due allergies of other children) or chocolate, like banana chocolate muffins.

Smoked salmon Goats cheese wraps:”

Cold cooked corn on the cob

Popcorn with dried fruit

Sandwiches made with blueberry fruit pikelets

Plain piklets with raspberry jam

Pizza ( I had a container of sliced homemade pizzas in the freezer)

Cut up vegetables with a hummus dip in another small container

Pottles of bite size fruit, such as mandarin segments, grapes or frozen blue berries or fresh strawberries

Muffins:  a) banana & raisins,  b)savoury ones, c) blueberry d)apple and cinnamon e) oats   etc

Focaccia bread

Regular sandwiches: a) if using tomato (salt the bread and put the tomato between the lettuce and cheese) b) peanut butter & jam c) marmite/vegemite d)egg & chives f)vegemite and raisins

Tin of tuna

Yoghurt

Chickpeas, sticks of celery, peppers, carrots sticks, cuccumber, etc

Boiled egg with salt and pepper

Tortilla or sushi roll ups

Quiche or frittata squares

Fruit cake, biscuits or bliss balls
