(Dessert just add ice cream or Fudge sauce or as cake served with yoghurt)

375 Grams dark chocolate  (or 1 pkt chocolate melts)

200 gram butter

2 cups sugar

3 eggs

1 tsp vanilla essence

1 cup flour

1 cup chopped nuts  (optional)

Melt chocolate and butter together, stir until smooth and well blended.  Mx in sugar, eggs and vanilla, then stir in flour and nuts.  Pour into well greased, approximately 20 x 30 cm sponge roll tin

Bake at 180 C for 20 – 35  minutes.  (undercook rather than over cook) it should be fudgy and sticky not dry and cake like.

Cool in the tin and cut into squares.  Store in an airtight container.

Chocolate Fudge Sauce

375 grams dark chocolate and 300 Millilitres of cream

Place cream and chocolate in a saucepan and stir with a wire whisk over very gentle heat until the chocolate melts and is well combined with the cream.  Cool for 30 minutes and then drizzle over brownies.
