I normally have a list for the first of the month – otherwise it is too hard to keep track of.
- Empty your vacuum dust bag and change the filter. Put in a new filter or wash and replace the filter. This will same small particles getting into your vacuum engine and causing it to malfunction
- Vacuum the windowsills and window tracks and ensure that the wee drains are clear of dirt and dust.
- Wash the windows outside and inside
- All window blinds, shades and curtains trap lots of dust. Why? It’s all that surface area! You can dust the blinds one blade at a time or remove them from their mounting hardware and wash them or have them professionally cleaned. Dusty shades can usually be wiped down with a damp cloth. And, curtains can be washed or professionally cleaned depending on what they’re made of.
- Wipe down with a wet cloth, the windowsills of dust and any fly marks.
- Check the tyre pressure of your car, as if you have the pressure wrong you could wear out your tyres earlier than expected.
- Wash your car at least once a month and vacuum the inside, clean the windows, and if an older car check the oil and water are at the correct levels. Including the water to wash the windscreen wipers.
